Sam is a cum laude graduate of Brown University (B.A.,’99) and holds an MFA in Critical Studies and Integrated Media from CalArts. He’s also the host of Voices of Esalen, a long-running interview podcast with over 1 million downloads, exploring the evolving landscape of human potential.

At the Esalen Institute, where he serves as a Senior Content Creator specializing in AI and Digital Media, Sam teaches regularly on human-centered AI — guiding others to engage emerging technologies with curiosity, critical thinking, and play.
